Day 340/366

This one's going to be really short, because I'm too busy to write. And the post is about just that - the fact that December is turning out to be a brilliant month. I have no clue how it's already here and I'm only five days in. But I'm smiling a lot, socializing with people for a change, rediscovering the pleasure of having a crush on someone, and more importantly, am getting to hear a lot of good, live music. Add to that the fact that the weather's brilliance, the morning walks I've started and the lack of sobriety in my life and it's perfect. The only thing missing is my close family. But then, life's weird like that. No?

Day 339/366

She never thought she would stand witness to a hard rain in December. But then again, she had never conceived that the combination of wine, cigarettes and a heavy dose of caffeine could be as perfect at it was. Or that a stranger could just walk into her life one random day, making her smile a little more than was required. Of course, her brain was running at double its usual pace trying to make sense of things. But in her twisted little head, socks and sweatshirts were all that she could dream of. And perhaps a gin with blackcurrant, or something like that.
