Day 43/366

The dead gossip monger
The hopeless gossip monger,
With no news to spread around,
She drank herself to sleep,
To only her rules she felt bound.

The rules of engagement and war,
Laid out carefully in her mind,
Often she would forget them,
But not have friends to remind.

Like a preying mantis she waited,
Asleep while she lay awake,
Eavesdropping and telling lies,
To surpass the wrong turns she couldn't make.

Alone in her coffin she would lie,
Asleep to the world above.
Oblivious to emotions or love,
The grass above to cover the dust.
