Prompt: Being in the middle of something
There is a finality
In knowing
That you have reached
Middle ground
Halfway from where you started
Halfway towards the end
To the right and left,
The distance covered
And what remains
In all its vastness.
Undefined decisions -
To turn back or tarry a little,
Then proceed.
I pick the latter,
Resume,
Begin again,
Eventually,
Many a mile later
I arrive.
It is everything I have waited for.
I'd do it all over again.
