Day 143/366

The strangeness of a new city
In all its entirety for one to explore,
The smells and colors and people
The winding lanes and street hawkers.

Go by a bus or a train,
Forego the leisure of flight,
Feel the pulse of the common man
Enjoy the scenery with genuine delight.

Look at your countryside before foreign lands,
Drink the chai when you stop somewhere.
A roadtrip's just as beautiful
With travelers whose interests you share.

Day 107/366

The delight of bus journeys
Short or long as they may be
Never seem to fade out
For I've a wanderlust in me

Be it with company or going solo,
The solitude always lingers.
The feeling's that just too precious
Like a rotating green-brown blur.

Carry the book you meant to read,
Or rest your mind for a while,
When the destination's been reached
You'll have another reason to smile.
