I walked in your shadows
I gaped at your words,

But you never acknowledged,

The things I would do.

There were days when I tried-

I put in my utmost best,

But you just walked past me,

Without a nod or a smile.

Then one fine day you came up to me,

You took me aside and just held me.

You knew who I was,

You'd been watching me.

But like me you'd been shy,

To just come clean.
