Hippies manage to lose complete control of life - their vision to life is lost because they are so into the drugs. Because of losing complete control over your life, you reach the highest height of freedom, which is what civilization was all about before society came in and started imposing its concepts and beliefs and rules over us. The hippies are superior to us average human beings who believe that we need to reach certain 'goals' in our life that society makes us think is what we want from life. Money and fame are not the goals of living, people. Go really life your life as a free individual!
