Day 277/366

From one side, he yanked at her heart
Simultaneously, the other man ripped her mind
A little cloud of lustful thoughts
A love castle of of childlike trust.

Share with me your story someday?
After the storm, how we had no time
A match made in heaven, like you say.
Tell me now, I'll hear it all.

I can't remember your voice today,
Was there kindness in your tone?
Did you look me in the eye when we did speak?
Won't you walk in the rain tonight?

I'm scared of what's behind, what's before?
Sing me to sleep, my chosen one,
If we should chance upon a kiss,
Would you lean in?
Would we pretend?
