Day 210/366

The colors resounding; mellow blues
A hasty red in a dreamer’s hues.
Describe what each sky is painted with
In the end, what works for you?
Polish the surface,
Rust and teak.
Laze in a pool of dust.
Forget what the world stands for.
Shine as the cleanest boot you’ve seen
Remember darkness grows
Black and gold embroidery
Between the doormat’s folds.
In high rises are the homes so tall,
Despair over each new move.
The rush you could only feel once
When the sand shifts under your toes.

  1. The wick burns, fades away
    Gloomy lights gleaming this way
    Fingers crossed, the stare begins
    Is it to last?
Sparks pulsed through, each drop shivers the skin
Come tomorrow it will feel the same
As I wonder what an iota of serotonin can do to your brain
