It's quite amazing how a performing art, be it music or dance or theatre can be so differently enriching for different people. If you read up and attend it, it can be enjoyed in a way other than if you go without any preconceived notions of it. Or imagine if you know the person personally to some degree and possibly know what or who the song is about. You can really get inside the performer's mind. But it's equally intriguing to interpret something your own way and never know what the artiste intended to portray. It's a whole world of fascinating possibilities in front of you and all you can do is take home whatever experience of it you had. But then again, why would you want to compare notes with anybody else?
